Connect2 Access
For new students, your account has already been built and you should be able to login.
For returning students, your account will be updated over the first couple weeks.
Your login is the same as you use to access MyCanvas and MyMohawk. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the portal and watch the training videos.
Operational Policies
We have added our space access polices in the polices section. Please make sure you are aware of them before accessing those spaces.
No Food or Drinks in Lab Areas
Our department has a No Food or Drink policy for all our spaces. Some spaces will specifically have signs on the doors when you enter the space as a reminder. Please be respectful of our spaces that we work hard to maintain to help us give you the best experience possible.

PoliciesStudents may request to borrow equipment for academic purposes related to McKeil School of Business and Entrepreneurship and School of Creative Industries programs at Mohawk College. The borrower is responsible for returning item(s) on time and in the same condition as borrowed. Failure to do so will result in the accruement of fees as well as the loss of borrowing privileges.

“Identified students” currently enrolled in specific McKeil School of Business and Entrepreneurship and School of Creative Industries programs
Faculty and support staff in the McKeil School of Business and Entrepreneurship and School of Creative Industries
Loan Terms and Conditions
1. All booking requests are made in Connect2 found at https://equipmentroom.mohawkcollege.ca/
2. Borrowed equipment and labs used must be for Mohawk College purposes only.
3. A valid ONE card is required to pick up bookings.
4. Upon pick-up, you are responsible for checking the condition of the item(s) in your booking, and for the safe return of the item(s) in the same condition as you received them. You will be charged for any damaged, broken, or missing parts and equipment that was in your possession. Equipment Room staff check all gear while being prepared and upon return.
5. Bookings will be held for thirty (30) minutes after their scheduled check out time at which point it will be automatically cancelled by the system. If you need to change your pick-up time, please do so on in Connect2.
6. Equipment cannot leave the country.
7. Upon return, your item(s) will be checked and verified by staff. Once everything is all confirmed, you are free to leave. Any outstanding items will also be discussed at this point.
8. Equipment bookings can be extended one time for a maximum of three (3) hours (or closing time) from the return time of your current booking, providing the items are available to be extended and not needed by another booking. This extension is available within three (3) hours of your return time.
9. Room bookings can be extended provided the room is available to extend. Room extensions must be done in person with staff.
10. Completing your booking request will confirm you agree to return the item(s) before the stated return date and time. Failure to return on time will result in a late fee of $10.00 per day for each booking, to a maximum of $30.00 total. When the maximum is reached, this will result in a hold on your student record, and your loan privilege will be prohibited until fees are paid.
Extenuating Circumstances
If you require an extension due to extenuating circumstances such as illness, please contact equipmentroom@mohawkcollege.ca before the deadline. Alternative arrangements can be made via email with appropriate notice.
General Expectations
a) Equipment should be transported and kept in protective bags or cases until ready for use. Equipment should be packed properly with any associated accessories when returning to the Equipment Room.
b) Care should be taken to protect equipment from inclement and extreme weather conditions, including excessive cold and heat.
c) Care should be taken when unpacking/packing equipment. Most loss occurs when items are misplaced or mishandled. Keep all items in protective bags or cases until needed, and items not in use should remain packed.
d) Equipment should be safeguarded at all times. Never leave equipment unattended. Do not leave equipment in your vehicle.
e) In the event of theft, immediately report the incident to Mohawk Security if on campus and the local police department if off-campus. Please keep Equipment Room staff included in/informed of all communications.
